Vision Statement
Our Vision Statement:
Is to transform societal tolerance of child abuse, provide hope for abuse victims, and educate communities to protect and defend vulnerable members within our communities.
Our Mission Statement:
To change the conversation & perception society has about victims of abuse & trauma, educate the public to identify abuse, provide resources for local communities to provide assistance for those in crisis, and remove the stigma associated with abuse victims.
Objectives:
· Through a series of interactive events across the country to target deeper levels of understanding of abuse and its victims in the local community and to prompt communities to take action.
· Also through events across the country to encourage victims or potential victims of abuse to seek help, provide local resources, and share hope of a better future from someone who has survived abuse.
· Build awareness and recognition of abuse within schools and communities, encourage people to be part of the solution against abuse, encourage people to become foster parents, and support local agencies who work directly with victims.
· Create a network of resources in local communities by state and by country so that anywhere in the world someone is in crisis, there will be one location, one website, where help can be found in that local area, including those rural areas where information may be scarce.
· Encourage and mobilize local support for agencies to provide more resources and assistance.
· Create training curricula for agencies and churches to use to train volunteers to relate to and intercede for abuse victims.
· Create coping programs that incorporate positive creative outlets such as writing, music and art as both therapy & a way to process individual grief & trauma.
· Also addressing several under-addressed issues such as Foster Care, Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, Bullying, Mental Illness, PTSD & Human Trafficking and explain their correlation to each other.
Event Details:
· Reveal types of abuse that may be present but unknown to the public, humanize them with specific examples.
· Include panels of speakers from multiple viewpoints, as in victims and survivors of trauma, local abuse resources, and ordinary citizens who have stepped up to help.
· Encourage active question and answer sessions for open discussion.
· Fund-raising events to raise funds to support CCN and share with local agencies to provide more resources and services to those in crisis.
· Book Discussion events that openly discuss the author’s personal stories of survival of years of abuse with active discussion periods which encourage victims to speak out and seek help.

Hello, my name is Raven Faith.
As a survivor of a traumatic childhood myself many of the issues on which I advocate on behalf are deeply personal.
From the time I was a small child, I held tightly to the belief that I would one day be able to use every bad experience that happened to me to someday help someone else.
From that point on every abuse & abandonment I experienced I viewed through the lense of that understanding.
Through living that belief out, I have been blessed to find that there is indeed an undeniable & powerful connection between people who have endured trauma.
Because of my personal experiences I am grateful to be able to share my unique perspectives to work alongside others as an additional puzzle piece if you will to help demystify how to effectively communicate with trauma & abuse victims.
So the Children's Compassion Network is born out of my 20+ years of Advocacy and observing just how much more we could accomplish if we all worked together by creating a network of reputable charities working towards the same goals.
I've always believed that the power of our joint efforts when we focus on what we agree on instead of our differences would change the world & bring healing to this broken world.
You could say that my entire life has prepared me for this calling, and there is nothing in the world that brings me more joy than to help bring hope & healing to others.
Due to my background, I speak passionately about abuse these issues because I have lived through them.
(The book mentioned below is the one being referenced in Our Mission Statement section describing "book discussion events".
As you can see in the 4 book reviews under the #ClubMission section at the end of the this website, these events are extremely effective towards all of our goals making it a very valuable tool during our discussion events.)
As former Model, now a Motivational Speaker, Life-Long Activist Against Domestic Violence, Founder of a Charity, Counselor to Youth, I shared my own story of survival through writing "Perfectly Broken" to further propel my charitable efforts to expose many forms of child abuse and issues that affect the youth of America such as the Domestic Trafficking of American children in this country.
The completion of my life story "Perfectly Broken" was written to start changing our culture, conversations and views towards Abuse Victims and to demystify the Cycle of Abuse & see that every abuse offers an opportunity to overcome!
"Perfectly Broken" offers a riveting and raw look into how the cycle of abuse is passed down from generation to generation.
Deeply personal and revealing, it explores the stories from every person's point of view as it is happening... the victim, the abuser, the on-looking family members, apathetic observers, and the occasional compassionate activist trying to help intervene and stop the violence.
After carefully developing all the characters involved, the detailed accounts as new generations of "monsters are created" and young innocent lives are victimized and destroyed offers an intimate understanding of how these cycles are perpetuated.
No matter who you are, you will find a piece of yourself somewhere in this book as so many issues are covered- from Neglect, to Abandonment, to Physical, Psychological and Spiritual Abuse, Starvation, Isolation, Depression, Suicidal Tendencies, Rejection, Absolute Hopelessness, to Dysfunctional Relationships.
One thing I share with the precious souls I work with is to understand that there is so much power in their personal stories.
To be able to process your trauma & pain, journey through forgiveness and get to the other side having overcome it is not easy or fast, but nothing is more rewarding than getting to the place where you can share & see healing in another person's life.
Over the past few years it has been so humbling to see the hope sharing my story has brought to others.
As excruciating as this was to write, it was an absolute Labor of Love and was born out of my single passion in life... to create something of value through my experiences that would help others get through whatever obstacles they are facing.
There were so many times over the years that the ONLY thing that kept me alive was the Hope that I would live to see this book, this "Vehicle of Hope" come to fruition.
I pray you find Comfort for your wounds, Courage to move forward, and Faith that you too can find beauty from the ashes of your life.
